Fast Testing & Precise Diagnoses
Our veterinary team in Tracy uses advanced diagnostic tests and tools found in our in-house lab in order to accurately diagnose and provide treatment options for your pet's medical issues.
Laboratory & Diagnostics
We use electromagnetic radiation among other technologies for our diagnostic tests and imaging. Technologies like these allow us to create highly detailed images of your pet's internal structures and collect useful diagnostic data.
We also use a wide variety of advanced diagnostic tools at Paws and Claws Veterinary Hospital in order to accurately diagnose your pet's medical issues. From ultrasound to digital dental radiology and blood tests, we offer the services your pet needs.
With our diagnostic imaging capabilities, we can provide more immediate treatment options and efficiently share information with your primary care veterinarian.
In-House Lab & Pharmacy
Using our in-house laboratory, we are able to run diagnostic tests and produce results quickly and efficiently and then use those to create targeted treatment plans. We support these services with our fully-stocked in-house pharmacy, including a wide range of prescription medications and diets, to provide for your pet's every need while they are in our care.
Our Diagnostic Services
With our in-house laboratory, we are pleased to offer advanced diagnostics to allow our veterinarians to provide an accurate diagnosis of your pet's medical issues.
- Radiography (Digital X-Rays)
Using a radiograph, also known as an x-ray, we are able to examine your pet's internal systems to reveal information that may otherwise be invisible.
Radiography is safe, painless and non-invasive. It uses only very low doses of radiation. Because the level of radiation exposure required to perform radiography is very low, even pregnant females and very young pets can undergo this procedure.
At Paws and Claws Veterinary Hospital we also use radiography technology and tools as part of our dental services. We take clear images of your pet's teeth and jaw, just like at your dentist's office, in order to understand more about their oral health.
- Ultrasound
With ultrasound imaging, we expose part of the body to high-frequency sound waves to produce images of the inside of the body.
Because we capture ultrasound images in real-time, we can see the structure and movement of your pet's internal organs, as well as blood flowing through the blood vessels.
- Blood Testing
We are able to conduct blood testing in our in-house lab in order to produce important diagnostic information about your pet's hydration, detect inflammation and heart diseases and inform us about your pet's blood sugar levels as well as kidney and liver function.
With this information, we can make diagnoses based on the levels of certain cells in your pet's blood alongside a number of different factors, painting a picture of your companion's internal functions which aren't otherwise detectable.
